EMF envisions being a center for Multiple Movement Disorder Therapy Programs and Caregiver Support, establishing a new centralized location with ample space for exercise and meetings.

  • To empower our participants with disabilities and movement disorders to Do their best to Be their best.
  • To improve participants’ quality of life through physical and mental exercises and activities.
  • To attract and keep participants with cost effective and caring services.
  • To provide the EMF community access to programs supporting caregivers.

David Fletcher had plans in 2020:

  • Grow the Rock Steady Boxing Annapolis program for Parkinson’s patients;
  • Bring the physical and mental improvements to a wider physical impairment population like MS, stroke, and brain injury patients;
  • Create a new non-profit organization
  • Move to larger quarters more suitable for growing classes and expanding opportunities

Then came the waves of the Covid and the economic and social upheavals that are continuing today.

The pandemic hasn’t stopped David. He recruited a team of experienced business people from his classes to help make his vision a reality. With an IRS approved 501(c)3 organization in place, Strategic Planning, Grant and Donation Requests, Location Search, and Website Development are just some of the projects underway.

What do the post virus  business and social pictures look like ? No one knows for sure but what we do know is that there’s no business as usual in unusual times and that damage has been done to our movement disorder community:  decreasing physical activity and increasing social isolation — a toll on mental and physical wellbeing.

  • Meet a pent up demand for patient activity and caregiver breaks
  • Seek out, motivate and encourage those hesitant to begin or re-engage in improving their wellbeing.
